What is Yate Rugby Academy?

 

The Yate Rugby Academy, is the go-to place for youth and mini rugby in Yate and its neighbouring areas. With the support of experienced and skilled coaches, Yate Rugby Academy provides excellent training and development opportunities for young players looking to learn and excel in the sport. And what's more, it is entirely FREE for all to attend!

Who can join Yate Rugby Academy?

​

Yate Rugby Academy provides opportunities for all children between the ages of 2 and 15 to participate in Rugby. The Academy offers sessions at different age group, starting with mini's rugby and progressing through tag rugby and eventually all contact age group ranges. Expert coaches are responsible for delivering these sessions to ensure that children can develop their skills and enjoy the sport we all love.

How is Yate Rugby Academy linked to Bristol Bears?

​

Yate Rugby Club and Yate Rugby Academy have the privilege of being part of the Bristol Bears Club Connexion program, which is overseen by the Bristol Bears Community Foundation.

​

Club Connexion is an initiative by Bristol Bears, aimed at providing assistance to community clubs in the Bristol area. It offers various benefits such as coach education workshops and player development camps. The program seeks to strengthen the local rugby community by providing support and resources to these clubs.

How to get involved with Yate Rugby Academy?

​

To get involved, either contact us online or just come along to one of our sessions. We offer sessions to all age grades on Sunday mornings at 10:00, with additional sessions held for our Year 7, 8 & 9 players on Wednesday evenings at 18:00. All of our sessions all held at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex, a modern, multi-purpose sports complex with a full range of facilities.
